MULTIPLE AWARD WINNING CRAFT BEER IN LONDON
REVIVING MARLOW'S BREWING TRADITION
Tim and Mark attended school together in Marlow at a time when the old Wethered Brewery was in full production; the sweet aromas of malt were a constant reminder that Marlow was an active brewing town. With the closure of the Wethered Brewery in 1987, Tim and Mark established Rebellion Brewery in 1993 to revive Marlow’s brewing tradition.

Award Winning Craft
When two life-long friends partner up to make craft beer, it’s pretty much guaranteed that the resulting brews are bound to be filled with vigour and heart. And, that is exactly what the Rebellion Beer Company promises with its offering.
Following a meticulously put together plan, Tim and Mark began laying the foundation for what would be the revival of Marlow’s brewing legacy. The original intent was to situate the new operation on the same ground as that of the old Wethered Brewery. Even though the idea never worked out, Tim and Mark’s ambition remained undeterred and the next generation of Marlow’s beer-making prospects came alive in April 1993, with the opening of Rebellion’s first brewery at Rose Industrial Estate in Marlow Bottom.
The beers are crafted according to a time-honoured method, using malted barley, hops, and Marlow water. This unique combination of elements results in some of the most adventurously tasteful beers ever to grace the taps of pubs and bars all throughout the UK.
With an ever-expanding selection of year-round, seasonal, and specialty beers that characterize what microbrewing is all about, the boys from Marlow are out to set an example, and in a manner of speaking, spark a ‘rebellion’ within the landscape of Craft Beer.
The Art of Brewing 100% Natural Craft Beer - The Marlow Brewery
“Brewing in a relatively small scale means that the process essentially remains an art; giving brewers the freedom to use the variations in hops, and the variety in wheats and grains to discover new and exciting flavours. This freedom, is exploited to the fullest by us at the Rebellion brewery; resulting in outcomes that are distinctive and high in quality.”
