Cabby’s is the first rum producing distillery hailing from the heart of London, offering you an exquisite range of spirits that will tantalise your taste buds and provide you with a robust and intense rum experience (or rumsperience as we like to call it).
Few people are aware that London introduced Rum to Great Britain, having historically been a vital international trading port! The Royal Navy’s connection with Rum can be traced as far back as the 17th century, to the tradition of a Rum Ration, which was popularly referred to as a ‘Tot’ and was tendered to their sailors at mid-day, until as recently as the mid-1970s.
Traditionally produced from 100% cane molasses, Cabby’s Rum is fermented, distilled and matured at their distillery at Mile End. The rum is barrel aged and charcoal filtered at the end, offering you a beverage that has well-balanced bittersweet flavours, scents of fresh coconut and the warmth of treacle.
Taste Notes: Rich and full-bodied overtones of sweet cane, delicious black treacle with a hint of oak and refreshing coconut and citrus.
How To Drink It: Cabby’s Rum is at its best as a Rum ‘n’ Cola with a slice of lime, Daiquiri or any other white rum cocktail you fancy.

Fun Fact:
The Rum Ration replaced the Beer Ration, and were served neat at 100 proof. It is said that sailors would check its strength by dosing gunpowder with rum and the gunpowder would still burn, “proof” that the rum is pure.
